Customers support greener future

Oconomowoc Utilities was recently awarded a Certificate of Recognition by WPPI Energy due to the large number of participants who are purchasing renewable energy. Oconomowoc received this award based on the number of residential power users who are currently purchasing "green blocks of power." As of Oct. 1, 3.62 percent of Oconomowoc Utilities residential customers were purchasing renewable energy. This average surpasses the national participation rate of 2.2 percent of U.S. residents purchasing renewable energy.
